| "near seashore and scattering of de-icing agent in the wintertime, there is an occasion to choose a construction method that removes deteriorated concrete around reinforcements and PC tendons, and repairs it by new materials based on the concentration level of ion chloride near the reinforcements. In this case, an advanced technology prospecting and confirming safety is required because the stress conditions in the PC members are changed significantly due to influence by existing prestressing level and sectional dimensions. However, the evaluation methods of the structural behavior of PC members after removing deterioration parts have not been established yet. Especially analysis and its verification about the accuracy are insufficient on removing cross section like cropping out the PC tendons. Therefore, this research targets the pretensioned PC girders, which shows keenly the influence by removing part of the cross section. A non-linear Finite Element (FE) Analysis was performed to analyze the transition of stress and the change of deformation in the process by the time the PC tendons comes out completely. By comparing acquired with experimental results under the same conditions, the investigation research was performed to verify the accuracy. Thus, the examination verifies it is capable of estimating accurately the stress redistribution, the change of deformation and strain of concrete and PC." |
