| "Anticipating shortage of water resources in the future of rapidly populated cities in Southeast Asian countries, a water recycle and reuse system in urban areas should be established. For this purpose, use of rainwater or groundwater and reuse of wastewater, including treated wastewater, are very prospecting. It is, however, very important that considering reuse of wastewater from the viewpoint of not only quantity but also quality in terms of risk that could rise under difference conditions of water use. Our research focused on soil aquifer treatment (SAT) of treated wastewater (secondary effluent from municipal sewage treatment plant) in order to recharge groundwater and establish a new water recycling system in urban areas." |
