| "This paper describes the result of a narrow spaced seismic refraction survey for a loosened rock-mass adjacent to a landslide at the preparatory stage of dam construction in Japan. We conducted the narrow-spaced seismic refraction survey for the loosened rock-mass of a landslide at a dam site. The survey used geophones set at short intervals and a high sampling rate. The rock-mass adjacent to rock-mass failure was fractured and showed plastic deformation. The geophones in this survey were placed in a gallery excavated in the loosened rock-mass at intervals of one-tenth that of the conventional method. The high sampling rate and narrow interval of geophones made it possible to delineate the loosened rock-mass of the landslide. " |
