| This paper describes the development of an Internet website that provides borehole logs and soil test results from shallow subsurface drilling operations. We built a geotechnical properties database, and developed several interfaces for the database and Cyber-Japan Web System to ensure that borehole data can be easily browsed. As of March 30, 2009, the website offers free access to about 75,000 borehole logs and 132,000 soil test results within the nine jurisdictions of the MLIT Regional Development Bureaus. |
