| This paper describes the development of a geotechnical properties database that provides borehole logs and soil test results from shallow subsurface drilling operations through the KuniJiban website (www.kunijiban.pwri.go.jp). The database provides users in the world with about 75、000 borehole logs and 23、000 tables of soil test results free of charge through the KuniJiban website by means of geospatial data delivery based on a denshikokudo web system. The geospatial data delivery is characterized by XML files distribution and geospatial data delivery based on a denshikokudo web system. All individual files of borehole logs and soil test results are described in XML format、and induce advanced use such as for environmental conservation and disaster countermeasures、in addition to increasing the efficiency of social infrastructure development among ministries and municipalities. Besides、the spatial data delivery enables foreigners to interactively access interactively. We believe that the significance of geospatial data delivery to foreigners may be to promote the international tender for national land development. |
