| This paper describes two fact databases、a geotechnical properties database and a georisk event database for tunnel construction、which can be easily and quickly used for a design check with local event data、and are considered as a georisk management tool in the survey and design phases of a construction project. The term georisk can be defined as construction project losses and uncertainties related to ground risk caused by events such as a landslide、rock burst、severe water inrush、etc. In order to successfully complete a construction project、the georisk must be managed and kept under control. Gathering experience and knowledge is the first step in the georisk management process. We compiled 567 case histories on events that occurred during the construction of tunnels and 76、000 items of borehole data into a relational database. In addition、our development of a GIS interface program based on the Denshikokudo Web System made it easy and quick to interactively provide geo-engineers with valuable knowledge and previous experiences. |
