| Oxygen sensory polymer coating based on luminescent quenching has been developed. We report practical application to coating for visualization of degradation of paint film、gas flow on wing model、and oxygen consumption in fuel cells. Platinum porphyrin (PtTFP) displayed strong luminescence at 650 nm which was efficiently quenched by oxygen. The dye was dispersed in poly(trimethylsilylpropyne) (PMSP) or polyurethane coating. PMSP is the highest oxygen permeable polymer and polyurethane is a practical paint film material. The luminescent sensory coating was mapped by means of analyzing luminescence and quenching images. Surface morphology analysis will be also reported. |
