Concrete containing supplementary cementitious materials have high resistance for the ingress of chloride ions. In this paper, a quality evaluation method for the chloride ingress resistance of precast PC is proposed. Electrical resistivity test for hardened concrete was examined as a rapid evaluation method, and it showed a good correlation with the chloride ingress resistance of concrete. Coefficient of variation of electrical resistivity was less than 10% in most cases and it was equivalent to that of compressive strength. From these results, it was proposed that electrical resistance of concrete can be a durability index of precast PC in the selection of concrete mixture during the design phase and the quality control of precast concrete during the construction phase. |
