| Based on cooperative research between Public Works Research Institute (PWRI) andJapan Asphalt Mixture Association (JMAA), “bituminous tenacity index” is suggested as anew evaluation index of recycled aggregate. Bituminous tenacity index is obtained bysplitting test and it is clarified that there is a high correlation with aging level of the agedasphalt and/or fatigue failure resistance. The use of bituminous tenacity index enablesdetermining the acceptability of using RAP which contains PMA. |
