Large soil bag has been widely used for embankment toe and retaining wall in cases of the emergency restoration works after the disasters. However this method urgently requires establishing the technical manual against the secondary disasters heavy rainfall or earthquakes because the restoration areas using this method has been widely spread by the succeeding disasters after the great Tohoku earthquake. The authors studied the maximum height and the constitution method of large soil bags as the beginning research. This paper will describe some centrifuge model test results assuming the earthquakes as the secondary disasters. |
