This paper introduces both the design and construction guideline applied for integral abutment bridges in Japan’s highway systems, and experimental studies of superstructure/substructure joint for steel bridges, focused on seismic design issues.Also, This paper describes experimental studies of superstructure/substructure joint for steel bridges, focused on seismic design issues. 2-axis loading test was conducted for clarifying seismic performance at steel superstructure/substructure joint. |
