A Stud connecting method is generally used for connection between steel girder and concrete abutment for joint-lessbridge structures.However, as for the stud design method in specifications for highway bridge, only permission shear power is prescribedand is not the description about the collation of fatigue. In addition, as examination of fatigue effect in the past researches has been developed for the studs with the punching test-piece or a concrete slab and a gap end of the steel beam. Thus, the fatigue strength of the stud in joint-less bridges has not been confirmed. This paper reports the results of two million-time fatigue test to evaluate the fatigue strength of the studs in connection part between steel girder and concrete abutment for joint-less bridge structures.
