In riverfront design, careful consensus building is important for maximizing the effect of the project. However, these processes are often carried out at the discretion of river administrators and have not beensystematized. In this study, we analyzed 6 cases of riverfront design plans and clarified the necessaryconditions for consensus building. Specifically, we analyzed the timing of the event, stakeholders, participants opinions, and the amount of consensus building investment. As a result, it was found that (1) the frequency of consensus building is once every 2.5 months, (2) thenumber of citizens participating is 50%, and (3) the amount of investment in consensus building duringthe project planning period was about 50 people and hours per event |
