| The International Centre for Water Hazard and Risk Management (ICHARM) was established inMarch 2006 as a UNESCO Category 2 Centre under the auspices of UNESCO in accordance withthe agreement between the government of Japan and UNESCO. ICHARM focuses on research,capacity development, and information networking as three principal areas of its activity, and hasserved the world as the Global Center of Excellence in water hazard and risk management throughnumerous projects.This 10th anniversary publication is produced to record the progress of ICHARM over the lastdecades and inform more people in the world about ICHARM and its activities. |
